FOB / CIF / EXW / DDP terms explained

Common Trade Terms

EXW (Ex Works): The buyer arranges pickup and transport at their own cost.

FOB (Free On Board): The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the designated loading port and loading them onto the vessel.

CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight): The seller bears the freight and insurance to the destination port.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): The seller bears all costs and risks until delivery to the destination.
